The DWX Compact and the Wilson SFX9 have been my top two candidates for Ultimate EDC. I think the DWXc just acceded to the top of the list. This got me looking closer at Wilson Combat, and I was drawn to the concept of the EDC X9. I have a Dan Wesson Valor 1911 in 45 that I shoot well but it’s big, heavy, lower capacity and high maintenance to take care of so I find I don’t shoot it as often as I’d like. Seems the EDC X9 is a good mix of everything I like.The SFX9 isn't necessarily comparable to anything Baer has and isn't really a 1911, although it looks like a good gun. It's like comparing a Glock 19 to a single stack gun. For a general use 1911 I'd say go with the Baer, for a good carry option Wilson are hard to beat.
